NATHAN'S OPENING STATEMENT
Hey guys. First off I would like to say that this game has been an absolute blast and I am really glad to have played and to have made it it to the final two. It has been fun and an absolute riot. I really don't think I have ever laughed so much in a game. But also, it has also been a very intense competition, which is exactly what I like to take part in. Coming into the game, I knew a lot of people, many who I considered friends, as many of us did, and knew this would make for a challenge. There is no way to make it this far into the game and still stay loyal to everyone. So I just wanted to say that everything I did was not personal, I was just playing the game and doing what I thought would be the best way to make it to the end. I am stoked especially to have made it with the person who was loyal to me, and vise versa, throughout the whole game, and someone who I also consider a great player. So best of luck to Big She.
I think I played a great game and would make a great winner because my play was very balanced. It wasn't perfect, by no means, but I do think I was pretty well-rounded. I won challenges (mostly earlier on) and stepped up to do what would be for the betterment of my game. At the same time though, I did not rely on challenge wins to propel me far. I had social play that helped me through when I didn't have security from a challenge. There are people I definitely could have talked to more, but for the most part I tried talking to people and forging relationships that would help me out in a time of need. I was definitely always thinking about what my best move would be. I didn't do what others wanted, I thought things through and did it my way. I was also really creative with some of my strategies, for instance asking Sarah to get Will to submit the final 4 veto early, and using my mystery box to create paranoia. I did lie of course to some people, to some more in particular, but I am proud to have been open and honest with people I considered true allies. And even though I was playing to win, I always have a level of loyalty to some allies in this games that transcends winning the game, and I was able to maintain that and make it to the end with a good finish, regardless of whether I win or not.
I don't want to go on for too long though, you guys can ask about what you need to hear. So now go ahead and grill me, I have absolutely nothing to hide and will answer your questions honestly. Well except for my mystery box, I am still not allowed to tell y'all what that's all about.
